((Norfolk, Virginia... there's a U.S. Naval base here.))

((It wasn't at all like the shoreline on the West Coast. The sands weren't golden, the skies weren't blue, and the sun didn't shine overhead. Everything here was grey, and cold. He pulled his black wind breaker more tightly around his body as he continued to look out across foreign waters, a chill wind from the east tossing his hair around wildly. He'd been here before to this same beach years ago when he'd signed onto the VFS.))

((A small smile spread his lips at the thought of that promotion, and how little he'd known about the sport and life in general. He use to think he had all the answers, but the last few years had shown him that you never have all the answers... just a lot of questions. He let out a heavy sigh as he looked down to the grey sands at his feet and lightly kicked a toe into it. It was different. It was all so different.))

((In hindsight he imagined the hotel room would have been a much warmer location for this interview, but he'd needed to get out... to go somewhere, and in Norfolk, Virginia this is one of the few places worth going. Still that wasn't saying much and neither was he he realized and so he slowly turned his body to face the camera, hands in his pockets, and a chin full of stubble.))

November: Of course I know who Jeff is. He's the guy that lost to Ryan Ford.

((Off in the distance, behind Kyle and slightly to his right, a family of four comes into view walking along the shoreline. A mother, a father, two kids, and a golden Labrador. They seem happy to be out here in this dreary sitting of grey and cold. Maybe being with someone can do that to you.))

August 28th, 2001November: He's also the guy that use to be the Fatal Charm, and he abandoned that title when he went into self-imposed retirement. And sure if he wants the title back I'd be more then happy to put it up on the line, BUT I really don't think you have the faintest clue what Jeff wants. In fact when Jeff wants something he's never been shy about letting the whole world know his intentions.

And you?

You're nobody Aarya. You're just a guy that Jeff hired to do a little recruiting for his federation. You're not his mouth piece, your not his best friend, hell you're not even his career advisor.

That'd be Bob.

Of course it's probably because you're so involved in things that don't concern you that you HAVE failed to perform your job to the best of your abilities. How many contracts have you signed to Jeff's little promotion over there again? I mean because I haven't seen anyone jump ship from the IWL since you've been here. So I'm left with this final conclusion: whatever Jeff is paying you... its way too much.

((He shakes his head and turns his gaze away from the camera to look out at the Atlantic again. His eyes catch on the family strolling along the beach and he smiles. Virginia wasn't all that bad.))

So you sign an IWL contract with little to no wrestling experience. You've since then spent every second you've been here trying to get everyone's attention... trying to "stir the pot". Only you're not Jeff and no one's biting. No ones paying attention to what you have to say unless they're forced to do so. Just as I am now.

You're nobody Aarya. There's nothing you've said or can say that will change that.

To where's, according to you, I may only be receiving this AOWF Intercontinental Title shot because Thunderwolf is more interested in my name then what I've actually done? You'll never receive an AOWF Title shot of any class, ever.

And according to you while I may only main event a fall from grace if Jeff is standing across from me in that ring. You will never main event a fall from grace.

((Finally he turns back towards us and his expression reads as tired. He lets out a deep sigh and pulls a hand from his pocket to brush some hair back from his face.))

Your opinion on the AOWF, my career, and how it all works doesn't matter to me because you're a nobody. You're just a college college drop out who hooked up with Shawn's old lady and found an in into Our Family. In the hierarchy of things you're not even above Drown in terms of importance. Just hired help who was unable to work through adversity to meet his goals.

A quitter.

Now if all that you've said was actually coming from Jeff, or Shawn, or hell even The Extreme Dream then perhaps I'd give pause to everything that's being said and do something about it. But instead the only thing I'm going to do is crawl into that ring with you on Tuesday and do my job. Something I've been doing for the last ten-years give or take. This isn't anything special Aarya. Just another match with another guy who will only be remembered three-years from now as an anecdote to a multitude of jokes.

I really do appreciate all the effort you've put into this though. It's almost as if you're really trying.

((In his pocket he fingers the auto-fade button to his camera.))

As if you really have a chance against me.

'night.

((Fade))
