"it's all about coming full circle, if you think of it a year in advance of where you want to be or whatever..." |

November:
And I quote myself, because I can: "Your
big accomplishments didn't make you into a superstar... your big mouth did."
Yeah, I said that and your big mouth said that same thing too when you quoted me
and yet it still rings true. No, not in the way you'd like to spin it, but in
the way it is. You are a "superstar" and you are "recognized", but not for
anything you've ever actually accomplished in the squared circle. They, meaning
the mindless sheep, don't sing your praises because of any match you had, any
title you held, or your win loss record. They sing your praises because of some
witty line you dropped back in 2000, or an interview you cut in 2002, but never
for any of this amazing in ring ability you claim to have. So if your even in
the least trying to imply that talking a big game without ever actually backing
it up makes you into a somebody well then we might as well bring Greg Eskridge,
Shame, Styx, Scotty Stylish, Scott Davidson, Bryan Mercy, Lord Fell, Chris
Sherrill, Raizzor, Mass Carnage, and a whole handful of others that I don't have
the time or want to name right at this particular moment.
Because if this "sport" is about nothing more then how much attention you can garnish by flapping your lips and "borrowing" everything from the guy before you, then yeah Jeff you're somebody special, but if this sport is about innovation and dominating that squared circle then that hasn't been done since Kevin Merrix retired Shawn Twilight, and when I say "retired" I mean when Shawn chose to walk away from the sport because it couldn't keep his interest. Because as you say he had Hilo on his mind and the desire to pursue a life past the squared-circle. Because he knew the only way YOU could ever shine is if he diminished his light. You're a Twilight clone with his approval, but that doesn't make you anything worthwhile in my eyes anymore. Just the eyes of those who didn't see what Twilight did back in 97 thru 98. Which is everyone in the LWF. Everyone who was in the CWA. Everyone who really ever mattered. The only eyes you have upon you now are the same eyes that move their lips in time with yours... or even worse try to think for themselves and fail miserably. Don Mega comes to mind when I think of those attempts gone wrong.
But at least he tried and at least he accomplished what he had on his own. Which wasn't much but considering he didn't have a dynasty built by Shawn and Misery to ride upon it was actually probably more then you could have ever done. Ever will do. Of course you'll never know what it's like to have a career without someone else's accolades to fall back on. That's just not how we do it in the Family. We ride the wave of another's success until it brings us crashing down onto a title reign and or main event. Which I had pointed out previously, and you at that time denied it, but now you find that kind of career "ideal"? And yet I was accused not too long ago of doing the same thing by riding on Misery's name which NOBODY remembers, but it's cool for you?
Wait... is that when you come sailing in with Twilight's famous "double standard" line? Or is this one of those key points you chose to side step and instead focus on subjects of little to no significance. Like Styx for example. You seemed it was in yours best interest to point out how you embarrassed him and his entire family? Again I fail to see how this is in any way significant or worthwhile in defending your career. Styx and his family have been an embarrassment to this sport since September 3rd, 1997. You hanging that star on your chest is a fucking embarrassment. You didn't do anything that Shame, Eskridge, Merrix, Twilight, Angel, or Misery didn't do years before you. Only when they did it the guy was actually YOUNG. You face off against a senior citizen and you expect some kind of praise? You kill a ninja and you want songs sung about you? You break the arm of a grunge chick and you want flowers?
I'm still waiting for you to do something.
Or maybe I should say I WAS waiting for you to do something. To take a risk. To gamble with your career and take that giant leap off the edge into the unknown. Then your ego put your better judgment into a headlock and low and behold, for the first time in your pathetic career you're faced with a real honest to God challenge. Sure, one you're going to lose but a challenge none the less. Because while you may be convinced that this is the best I have, that I have shown you everything I am capable of, that I laid out all my cards on the table long ago, sadly for you that's not the truth. These are words meant to amuse and enlighten. Words to hike up the buy rate and set the story straight. Words to befuddle and confuse those who aren't in the know. Words to bring some semblance of reality back to your fairy tale world. Words that speak volumes to the right people and yet are only sound to others.
Words don't snap necks, crack ribs, break arms, or shatter knees. Words don't give you that extra push when you feel you can go no further. Words don't make you any better in that ring then if they were never spoken at all... they only make you heard. And I hope that right now you're hearing me Jeff. I hope that right now you understand that I'm not intimidated by what you haven't done in your career. That you've yet to say anything to send me quivering in my boots. That you have yet to assure me that anything I've said about you has been wrong. You're no Shawn Twilight, but you want to be. You're no Misery even though that's what you're suppose to be. You're just a little guy with a big bark and a lot of attitude.
So please, please, please... keep talking. Keep illuminating. Keep preaching. Keep being verb. Keep impressing the kids with your wit, and then come the 8th I'll silence everybody. I'll end everything you ever pretended to be and still hope to become. And then? Then I'll continue to pay tribute to the man that got us to where we are today. To the man they even made Styx look in your direction or Bane come out of retirement. It was all to get at him... you and Shawn just happened to be in the way.
Now excuse me... I have to take a Drake.
'night.
